Open to senior QA & product roles

Thomas Cornelius Tjandra

QA Engineer
& Product Manager

I help product teams ship with confidence: clear test plans, automated regression, and security gaps found before users find them.

Eight years in QA, from Indodev and Gramedia Digital Nusantara to Fairatmos. Since May 2025 I've also owned products at Fairatmos, and outside work I build and run my own software.

Products shipped regularly and connected to partner systems, while regression testing was still largely manual.
My role
QA Engineer; led the automation project and B2B integration testing.
What I did
Wrote test plans and automation for API, web, and mobile (Katalon, Postman), led automation for the B20 application, tested integrations with Bobobox, Potato Head, and Pamerindo, and standardized the bug-report format.
  • −40% manual testing
  • −30% post-launch issues
  • −40% bug-report errors

POS Desktop

A point-of-sale app for restaurants and shops. I did all of it: design, development, testing, security, and the server.

Context
Restaurants need a POS whose data lives on a server, while receipts and kitchen tickets still print straight to the shop's thermal printers, including orders taken on a waiter's phone.
What I built
A Windows app (Electron) and a PWA, both backed by Node.js + PostgreSQL on a VPS.
  • Restaurant tables, order rounds, kitchen display, and print stations for kitchen & bar.
  • Table QR guests order from their own phone, protected by a 4-digit code.
  • Thermal printing ESC/POS over Bluetooth, COM, USB, LAN, and from the browser.
  • Operations shifts, cash, purchasing & stock, margin control, reports.
  • Access control per-employee roles; PIN login only on trusted devices.
  • AI Living an isometric floor plan that moves with live order data.
  • 105 automated tests on PostgreSQL & SQLite
  • 2 pentest rounds, findings closed
  • Daily backups kept 30 days
  • Electron

Kantor Agent CRM

A 3D office where eight AI agents (PM, BD, QA, Backend, Frontend, Security, Auditor, Finance) work and hand tasks, reports, bugs, and approvals to each other.

  • Connected to Lark CRM; for example, the Auditor counts deals still missing a Project Code.
  • Claude updates the agents while working on tasks; data streams live over Server-Sent Events.
  • Node.js
  • SQLite
  • SSE
  • Docker
  • Lark API

Mahjong Scorer

A web app for scoring mahjong at a real table: photograph the winning hand, confirm the tiles, and the app explains every point and who pays what.

  • Chinese Official rules (1998): 81 patterns, the "cannot be combined with" table, 8-point minimum.
  • A PWA that works without a server; tile recognition from photos via Claude.

  • Vite
  • PWA
  • IndexedDB

  • A content agent writes ideas, captions, and hashtags per platform with Gemini Pro.
  • A posting agent publishes to X, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, immediately or on a schedule.

I test products like an owner, and build them like a tester

  1. 01

Test what users do, not only what the spec says

Many issues live in the seams between systems, not inside them. That's why I run partner integration tests myself before release.

  2. 02

Automate the repetitive, keep time for thinking

Machines run the regression suite. People spend their time looking for the cases nobody has thought of yet.

  3. 03

    Security is part of "done"

I've inspected API requests with Burp Suite since 2019, and my own product only went live after two rounds of penetration testing.

  4. 04

Clear bug reports speed everyone up

A consistent format lets developers understand a problem without a round of follow-up questions.

About me

I started as a developer, moved into QA, and now also help decide what gets built.

My career began as a software engineering intern at Kompas Gramedia, building an employee performance review app. I then moved into QA, and since 2018 I've tested HR systems, e-commerce, marketplaces, POS, and carbon-project platforms.

The developer background makes me comfortable reading code and writing automation. QA made "what happens if this fails?" a habit. Since 2025, as a Product Manager at Fairatmos, I also help decide what gets built first.

Outside work I build my own software and run it on my own servers: a point-of-sale app, an AI agent office, and a mahjong scorer.
